Restoring Chipped, Cracked or Broken Teeth in Charlottesville By Jack Kayton, DSS

added on: July 24, 2012

Time can take a toll on your teeth. Regardless of well you take care of your smile with regular dental exams and checkups, sometimes a tooth will chip, crack or break.

If the damage is small and there’s no pain, you may be tempted to not even call the dentist. Not a good idea. Even the smallest problems can promote tooth decay if not quickly resolved. Left untreated, the decay can cause the tooth to become damaged beyond repair.

Don’t take chances. If you have a tooth that cracks, chips or breaks, call my Charlottesville  dental practice. A quick examination will determine the most appropriate treatment for restoring your tooth to health and strength.

If the tooth is chipped or has a slight break, a porcelain veneer or cosmetic bonding may be recommended. If the tooth is severely damaged or weakened, a dental crown may be the best solution. If the worst happens and the tooth must be replaced, a dental implant or bridge can be used to restore comfort and function.

Remember: if a tooth chips, cracks or breaks, you’ve got to call the dentist. With all the restorative treatments offered in my Charlottesville dental practice, there’s a solution that’s right for you.
